On the 300 mile trip,

The engine turned over more than a million times.
The boiler turned more than 600 gallons of water into steam.
This made more than 32,000 cubic feet of steam.
The engine would typically run between 300 and 350 rpm.
Usually, the damper and main steam valve were left wide open.
We would add firewood to try to maintain about 50 pounds of pressure.
